Precept of Secrecy
Typical violations include:
· Creating a Paradox before Sleeper Witnesses
· Leaving obvious evidence that magic has been performed
· Speaking of the Mysteries before Sleepers
· Teaching Sleepers the Mysteries
· Betraying arcane knowledge to other Creatures

Precedents
· (1917) A Tribunal ruled in favor of a Mage who spoke openly of the Mysteries before Eliot the Orphan Lord, citing that “other Creatures” was intended to mean creatures native to the fallen world that are not capable of Awakening. The Tribunal made it clear that Eliot’s nature is unknown and that it is commonly assumed that he is some form of Aetheric Being.

Precept of Recognition
Typically recognized things include:
· Balboa Park is recognized as belonging to the Silver Ladder
· Any true member of the Diamond either as a visitor or as a resident
· Any true member of the Pentacle either as a visitor or as a resident
· Proximi in service to the Pentacle
· A Diamond Awakened must perform three (3) favors to be Recognized by the Ruling Council
· A Pentacle Awakened must perform four (4) favors to be Recognized by the Ruling Council, unless otherwise covered by the Precept of Recognition.
· An Apostate Awakened must perform five (5) favors to be Recognized by the Ruling Council
· All territory within San Diego & Imperial County not recognized as the formal domain of a Cabal
· All recognized claims to territory by individuals or Cabals.
· Any Sleeper who serves the Pentacle with or without direct knowledge of the Pentacle.

Precept of Protectorate
Typical violations include:
· Approaching the sanctum of another mage unannounced
· Causing a Sleeper investigation near a sanctum
· Testing the wards or limits of another mage's sanctum
· Entering another mage's sanctum without formally granted permission
· A magical attack against a sanctum

Precedents
· (1926) An Adamantine Arrow was drunk and gunned down a man outside of the Sanctum of the First & Lance Chance Cabal. The Tribunal interpreted the Precept of Protectorate very broadly, ruling against the Arrow sentencing him to a Severe Reprimand for a year and a day.

Precept of Hubris
Typical violations include:
· Casting a curse
· Fraternization with members of the Black Zodiac
· Contact with the Scholomance
· Forcing an unwilling transformation
· Magical attacks on Sleepers
· Unprovoked magical Attacks on Recognized Awakened
· Aiding spiritual possession
· Exiling Sleepers to the shadow realm
· Using magic for murder
· Soul trafficking
· Failing to internalize a Paradox
· Antagonizing the Fairies

Precedents
· (1955) Casting a curse was clarified that real and lasting harm must come as a consequence of the curse (direct or indirect) for the curse to violate the Precept of Hubris.

· (1914) Just provocation for magical attacks under the Precept of Hubris was understood to be sedition against the Consilium of the Cerulean Peace or Diamond Orders, slander against a Diamond Order Awakened if the person speaking slander or sedition was an Alien (roughly meaning Mongoloid, Mexican, or Negro). In all other cases just provocation is accepted to be only in retaliation to a magical attack.

· (2000) During an attack by Banishers an Adamantine failed to internalize a paradox that would otherwise kill him. The Tribunal ruled that despite the dire circumstances the Arrow had broken the Lex Magica and was assigned a Major Penance.
