[Mage: The Awakening v1.9] Additional Conversion Rules

(Out of Character (OOC):
Chronicle: Mage 2: The Dethroned Queen
Venue: Mage: The Awakening
Chronicle Storyteller: Jerad Sayler))

IX.             MAGE: The Awakening v1.9 Character Conversion Rules

•        Experience Costs– Get with the Chronicle Storyteller to re-create or convert your current character sheet to the new experience system.

•        Rote Spells– All known Rotes now are converted to Gnosis + Arcana + Skill (skill noted in the Rote).  Future Rotes can be learned using Order Rote Skills with ST permission.

•        Praxis Spells– Copy/Paste the Rote section below your Magic table and rename it Praxis Spells.  All known Rotes now are converted to Gnosis + Arcana + Skill (skill noted in the Rote).  The player selects a new Praxis (within current capabilities) for each dot of Gnosis they possess. Using the example Rote Spells create an approximation using Gnosis + Arcana + Attribute.

•        Lessons Learned (Wisdom) – For each dot of Wisdom the character has below 7 they must designate (usually on the Breaking Point Survey somewhere) a custom act that would cause a Breaking Point for the Character.

•        Inured Spells (Wisdom) – Don’t think this applies to anyone. Anytime a mage loses wisdom (max of 1 per dot of gnosis) the mage can designate a spell which they can cast and it never risks wisdom.  It does make the spell Vulgar with a starting pool of +2 paradox dice off of the starting Gnosis pool.  Going to need another Magical table for that too…
